Ever since I became obsessed with The Song of the Lark (probably about 20 years ago--wow) I've wanted to see the cliff dwellings that Thea visited. These aren't the SAME but these are the BEST. ha. Plus I went with some really great friends--which always improves a trip. We drove down to Mesa Verde on Friday night and came back Monday morning (BLESS three-day weekends). We spent Saturday seeing the cliff dwellings and Sunday hiking around the San Juan Forest. It was perfect.
