Earthquakes and hurricanes and doom, oh my!

Let's hope once this thing blows over (ha! macabre humor! so funny!), this isn't me.

It's been a slightly surreal day. Apparently all the stores are out of everything.

Fortunately, we had a lesson in church last month about hurricane preparedness (all the churches in the east were given the same fifth Sunday lesson--talk about inspired!) and so I am prepared with water and Cliff bars and lots of books (well, okay, I didn't actually PREPARE books, but that is how I intend to spend the weekend).

Austin, Texas

Went to the APRA Conference in Austin.
The stars and stripes are big and bright...

I met Ian at the APRA Conference last year in Anaheim, CA. (aah) It was sad, but he couldn't come this year. Did get to meet up with an old APRA friend (from my very first conference)and an old NYC roommate though! So that was pretty awesome.

Quick Trip

Went to Utah for a weekend of craziness. It was SO busy, but beyond excellent to see everyone... I didn't realize just how much I missed it and really wished I could have been there for longer to catch up.

NOTE: I know I'm a bad friend... I really didn't see anyone except family because we were only there for a weekend. Next time I want at least a week. :)

Whirlwind
